Päivi Törmä

Prof. Törmä and her team at the Nanoscience Center of University of Jyväskylä are focusing on molecular electronics research. Especially, manipulation of the molecules with fields, and electrical properties of the molecules, are considered. Törmä and her colleagues have also done important work related to the discovery of Fermi superfluids of atoms. Prof. Törmä received in 2005 the EURYI award of EUROHORCs/European Science Foundation, given yearly to 25 outstanding young scientists in different fields of science in Europe
