Mats Nystrand

Mats Nystrand is manager of the Technology Department, R&D at Phadia AB, Uppsala Sweden. He got his B.Sc in biochemistry and medicine from BioMedical Centre, Uppsala University, Sweden. He has been working in Research and Development at Phadia since 1979, mainly with the design of immunoassays. His focus in immunoassay development since 2001 has been research in and evaluation of new immunoassay technologies and their applications. His most recently work has been to adapt nanotechnology in ie a new generation of immunoassays for detection of specific IgE antiobdies as markers of allergic sensitisation.
