Markku Simmelvuo

Markku Simmelvuo is a Master of Science in Technology and European Patent Attorney. He is the Managing Director of Papula-Nevinpat (www.papula-nevinpat.com) and a partner of the company. Additionally, Markku is a member of the Board of Directors of Papula Oy, Cyflo Oy, the IPR University Center and the Chairman of the EPFILER Board of Directors. Markku has been working as an advisor to a number of small and medium-size enterprises in developing their intellectual property rights.
Markku specialises in telecommunications, electronics and technical mathematics. He has over ten years of experience in attending to patent matters both in Finland and abroad. Moreover, he has experience in the Finnish opposition and appeal proceedings specifically in inventions related to telecommunications. He has participated in defending and cancelling several patents and patent applications at different appellate levels.
Markku regularly gives lectures and presentations in several national and international conferences. He annually participates in a number of international conferences and forums, including the annual conferences of the AIPPI, INTA and APAA
