Malcolm Wilkinson

Malcolm has a BA in Physics, from Oxford University, an MSc in Semiconductor Technology, a Doctorate in Microelectronics and is a Fellow of the Institute of Nanotechnology. He founded Technology for Industry in 1992. TFI is the leading UK consultancy focusing purely on micro and nanotechnology. Malcolm is a strategic thinker with experience across all business functions in high technology industries in the UK, USA and Europe. He has a track record of success in bringing new technology from R & D concept through to volume production in both large and small company environments. Malcolm’s analytical skills combined with his practical experience have enabled him to carry out in-depth strategic assessments and analysis. He was joint author of the DTI report on UK Microsystems strategy 2001 and has carried out strategic projects on behalf of the public sector in North America and Europe. He is working with a number of commercial companies both large corporations and small start-ups to develop their business and supply chains for using nanotechnology. Malcolm regularly teaches on the Medical and Biomedical applications of Micro and Nanotechnology for the Swiss Foundation for Microsystems Research.
