Stepan
Shipovskov
Assistant Professor, iNANO Denmark |
Dr. Stepan Shipovskov obtained his MSc in Chemistry in 2000 and his PhD in Catalysis and Biotechnology in 2003 from Department of Chemical Enzymology of Moscow State University. His research was mainly focused on stabilization and activation of enzymes in non-conventional media. During his PhD he worked as a visiting scientist in Biophysics Group in Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) and Bioanalytical Group of Alcalá University (Spain). Then, he was awarded a personal postdoctoral fellowship from the Swedish Institute (2003–2005) to work at the Department of Molecular Biophysics of Lund University (Sweden) on structural and catalytic studies of enzymes. After that he continued his research at Center of Excellence in Biocatalyis of Manchester Interdisciplinary Biocentre (UK). From May 2007 Dr. Shipovskov is appointed Assistant Professor at iNANO. His research interests include metalloproteins, biocatalysis in non-conventional media and engineering enzymology.
