Dr. Lämsä (b. 1962) works is in Materials Technology Unit in Tekes. He is Programme Manager of Tekes’ FinNano nanotechnology programme. He is a member of several national and international nanotechnology networks, e.g. European MNT (micro- and nanotechnology) ERA-NET and OECD Working Party on Nanotechnology. Lämsä received his Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Physical Organic Chemistry, in 1997 from the University of Oulu, Finland. From 1998-1999 he was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the research group of Prof. Fritz Vögtle in the University of Bonn, Germany. Before joining Tekes in 2002, he investigated supramolecular and nano-chemistry in the University of Oulu. Lämsä has written eleven original pre-review publications and over 30 other papers.
