1980, the own company Mütek GmbH was started, 1983 with focus on particle size and charge characterisation for the laboratory and online process control. After having sold the company in 2000, private consulting work in particle characterization followed. In 2004, Particle Metrix GmbH was founded together with Margret Böck. Consulting work continued, followed by distribution of particle size analyzers and development in ionic particle charge analyzers. The outcome of the development were ZetaView® and StabiSizer®, two complementary instruments for electrokinetic particle interface analysis and charge mapping of colloids, macromolecular solutions, emulsions and nano-particle suspensions. The main activity in 2009 is the global market introduction of both instruments.
Customers are in nearly all sectors. Coatings, pharmaceutical technology, biotechnology, beverages, food, synthetics, textiles are a few of them. The analyzers serve researchers in application fields like nano-particle production, nano-milling, stability formulation, flocculation.
