Dmitry A. Gorin is researcher at Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (Potsdam, Germany) in the Interfaces department headed by Prof.Dr.Helmuth Möhwald, head of Joint Research Center of Technologies and Measurement of Nanostructures JRC&TMN (Saratov State University (Saratov, Russia) and Queen Mary University of London (London, UK)), associate professor of semiconductor physics department of nano- and biomedical technologies faculty at Saratov State University. He graduated as a physical engineer in 1997 from faculty of physics at Saratov State University, where he obtained his doctorate degree in specialty in Physical Chemistry in 2000. He won in 2004 Michail Lomonosov’s grant founded by DAAD (Germany) and the Russian Ministry of Education and Science (Russia) for scientific probation as postdoc at Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in group “Multifunctional Nanoengineered polymer capsules” headed by Dr. Gleb Sukhorukov. Since 2004 he took part as postdoc at the MPI Colloids and Interfaces and at Queen Mary University of London and as project leader at the Saratov State University in realization of scientific projects in the field of nanotechnologies financed by EU, DAAD (Germany), DFG (Germany), the Russian Ministry of Education and Science (Russia), RFBR (Russia), British Counsil (UK). He is author and co-author more than 80 scientific publications including 28 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 3 books, and co-inventor of 3 patents. His research interests include physics of interfaces, physical chemistry basic of molecular technologies oriented on the nanocomposite planar coating and microcapsule fabrication; nanostructural material modification by chemical composition variation and external influences, nanotechnologies for biomedical applications.
