Claudia Preininger received her PhD in chemistry from the Karl-Franzens University Graz (Austria) in 1996, participated in international projects on surface modification and optical (bio)sensors at the University of Lund (1995), University of Pisa (1996-1997) and CNR-IFAC Firenze (1997-1998; 2004) and has been working on optical DNA- and protein chips at the Austrian Research Centers GmbH – ARC since 1999, now AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH. Actually, she is leading the working group biosensor technologies. Main focus is nano surface architectures and protein biomarker chips.
