Nicholas Deliyanakis
Nicholas Deliyanakis is a physicist working in the European Commission’s Directorate-General for research, as a Programme Officer in the Unit for Nano S&T, where he is involved in the development of policy as well as the follow-up of research projects. He has also worked in the Commission’s Marie Curie programme for the development of human resources in research. Before joining the Commission staff in 1999, he spent 11 years working on nuclear fusion research in the UK, mostly at JET, the European nuclear fusion project; and as a physics tutor at Oxford University. He obtained a first-class degree in physics from King’s College London and a doctorate in plasma physics from Oxford University; and is a Chartered Physicist and Member of the Institute of Physics.NTNE 2007
