Ari T. Friberg

Ari T. Friberg has PhD in optics (Rochester) and DSc in physics (Helsinki). He has held academic or visiting positions at the University of Rochester, Helsinki University of Technology, Imperial College in London, Technical University of Berlin, University of Joensuu, and University of  Neuchâtel; since 1997, he is Professor at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. Friberg’s main research interests are in optical physics, electromagnetic optics, and micro- and nano-photonics. He is Fellow of OSA and SPIE, and President of the International Commission for Optics (ICO).
