This theme covers the safe and responsible development of nanotechnology.
It is of critical importance to all stakeholders that possible risks of nanotechnology are well-understood, that they are met with an appropriate response from industry and government, and that the public is informed and protected.
The theme will cover the latest scientific research into the biological impact of engineered nanoparticles on the human body and the environment, in order to disseminate findings and to create cooperation and exchange in this field of research.
Sessions will also look at risk assessment and regulatory approaches from national or multinational bodies, consumers and industry.
